This is a redesign of the original logo I created for Vinyl Resting Place, Affleck’s Palace, Manchester.
Following the theme owner, Al, had chosen for the shop as a nod to Peter Saville’s work for the Hacienda, I wanted the logo to still represent the pun in the name. I did this by using the shape of a record half out of its sleeve to create a classic gravestone shape.
I have pressed badges and screen printed bags for Vinyl Resting Place. The logo was also used for a run of carrier bags which have been featured on @recordbagsoftheworld instagram.
